Kevin Smith is the founder and president of Dragoon Unlimited , LLC. DU is a USA based outdoor adventure gear firm focused on survival, shooting sports and other specialized and modified equipment for specific pursuits, including personal protection and defense, big game hunting and emergency preparation. He is an avid outdoorsman, hunter , sailor, diver and adventurer.

His education background includes a BS from Texas A&M University, Masters in Management & Leadership from Webster University. He is a graduate of the Command and Generals Staff and Command College and the U.S. Army’s prestigious University of Foreign Military and Culture Studies Course (Red Team Leader) at Fort Leavenworth.

Kevin’s unique ability to operate in VUCA Environments (Volatile-Uncertain-Chaotic-Ambiguous) led him to routinely be tapped to organize, train and lead unconventional organizations in both the military and civilian sectors.

Kevin served 25 years in the US Army as a enlisted soldier and cavalry officer, transitioning after successful command assignments at all levels, including stints as an armor company and cavalry troop commander, battalion and brigade operations and executive officer positions and a cavalry squadron commander.

He served in the Balkans as the Officer in Charge of TF East’s Multi-National Liaison Monitoring Team and as the Security Officer for the International Zone in Baghdad, Iraq.

He was awarded the Legion of Merit. Kevin has a knack for creating linkages and trust in multinational operations as demonstrated in multiple operations and exercises in Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia and South America.
